Luke Smith, a former director of the Montgomery County High School said the case against James in court, however, he pushed for the president of the petition effort, Rudy Nanney, read a statement after the verdict the judge.

“We are very disappointed in Judge McConnell decision. When we circulated a request for revocation of the petition, it was tremendously positive response to the revocation of Ms. James. Obviously, we all thought that was sufficient grounds for revocation Deloris James. If getting our school system was placed on probation, violates state law and its failure to obey a code of ethics was not a basis for her to remember, then what is? obvious loser in this case, the Montgomery County school system, our community, students, teachers and staff, “Nanney read.

During testimony, school inspector Randy Rodgers said Luke Smith reported concerns Montgomey County School Board of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools shortly after learning his contract in high school will not be renewed.

James lawyer, Joe McGovern, said Judge Luke Smith and former school supervisor Dale Clark “do everything they can to embarrass the school board.”

Reacting to the verdict, James said: “It is unfounded and unfair. I feel like this was pure vindictiveness on the part of two disgruntled former employees and spouses of current employees. It’s just the way it is, I just feel like it is vindictive . I will repeat what I said before. I am dedicated to children with Montgomery County and will continue to do what is in their best interest. “
